Why is this happening?

I have always tried to understand why the summer blows our working appetite. Comparing the situation with the winter, I would say the high temperature is the guilty factor. Some consider vacations the first option, but let’s not forget that people go on holidays in all seasons. During the hot summers we tend to relax more than we should to. So we neglect the tasks, the jobs and we can’t focus on the daily activities.

Low productivity, low profits

Not keeping a high productivity is bad for your business. The biggest mistake I have seen in blogging is to post without a constant frequency. That could be the reason why the feed subscribers leave your blog. Consequently, the blogger looses the traffic and experiences low profits.

Recommendations

1. Daily tasks. The first thing you should do when you observe the lack of productivity appears, is to write down the daily tasks. The goals and tasks established for the entire week or month need to be redistributed daily.

2. Weekend vacations. Leave the crowdy cities or stressing offices for the weekend. Usually I don’t work during weekends, but sometimes I have to. Therefore, in the weekend you should go for a mountain hike or for a pleasant beach sunbathing. You will relief from the stress accumulated over the week.

3. Do sports. Why not relaxing doing your favorite sport? During hot summers a swimming class would do more relaxing than anything else. The swimming cools you down and eliminates the stress. It’s well-known that working under stress decrease the productivity.

4. Healthy eating. Give up to unhealthy foods! Try to consume fresh foods and salads. You will gain energy and power to do all the work.

5. Boosting motivation. A good solution is to keep motivating yourself. I remember a good article of Shoemoney where he gathered some motivational clips. After watching that clips you will feel more optimistic and focused. Audio motivational programs have the same effect for a stressed and tired mind.

First of all, I informed them about the types of corporate blogs: internal blogs, external blogs and CEO blogs. The first type represents a form of internal communication. Every manager knows that the internal communication and employees relations are among the main purposes for a successful business.

So, I told them how can an internal blog improve the productivity in a company. The most important novelty is that the internal blogs can replace the email. For example, in a department the employees are working at a project. They should communicate one to each other to fulfill the tasks. Instead of sending a ton of emails that often could remain unread, they can use a blog to bring their contribution, to state their opinions or to make modifications. Consequently, the overall productivity will grow. The project will be ready, the required time to finish the project will be lower and the employees will work as a team.

The internal blogs are an excellent communication channel between the organization members, between the departments and the leadership.  Furthermore, the internal blog could become an important tool for sharing ideas from individuals to a collective level. Besides being a communication platform, it could serve as the organization archive.

As you may know the organizations set up rules and policies for blogging. For internal blogs these rules are not required especially. However there should be conceived a team code of conduct to avoid misunderstandings and other communication problems.

To respond the question from the title I would say that an internal blog really helps a business in terms of productivity, creating ideas and developing the organization’s voice. I hope I was clear about the internal blogging in this post. The story will continue with external blogs and CEO blogs.

First of all, I will tell you some facts about blogs. The weblog was conceived as a personal journal around ten years ago. Jorn Barger was the first to name it weblog (from web and log). Then, the term weblog was split in “we blog” from where we remained with blog. The person who is writing a blog is called blogger, and all the blogs compound the blogosphere.

Nowadays, the blog is form of living online, its part of our lives. The blogs are powerful marketing instruments because they have fresh content, they are interactive and they could create powerful communities around. The characteristic of fresh content boosts blogs exposure in the search engines. Thus a blog goes to the front page without spending hours or days in making SEO. The blogs take over the traditional websites lately.

Secondly, the blog has become a trend, an urban occupation. It is almost unusual for a youngster not to keep a blog. To write your own blog is fun and catchy. People like to express theirselves, to communicate and to put down their ideas.

Corporate blogging. A corporate blog is developed by a company to serve its organizational purposes. The corporate blog, also called business blog, includes three important categories: internal blog, external blog and CEO blog.

*The first one is used to develop a closed community inside a company. It serves in projects, in communication between the employees and departments.

*The main function of the external blog is to establish a solid communication channel between the organization and its audience. The corporate external blogs create networks that help the company to respond in a crisis, to leverage market conversations and to improve the business.

*The CEO blog gives a better exposure of the company through its CEO’s voice. There have been many discussions whether a manager should blog or not. In my opinion I would advice them to blog only if they have something interesting to say, if they are passionate to write, sincere and if they offer utility and good advices. Also you should consider that not everyone is made for blogging.

I would have more to tell you about corporate blogging, but I don’t want to become boring and to write very long articles. You know, readers don’t like long articles and big paragraphs. So, this story will continue…
